Briar commenced with QSuper in November 2011. In her role as Senior Portfolio Manager with the Funds Management team her primary responsibilities include implementing investment policy decisions, structuring potential investments and managing a portfolio of external investment managers.

 

Briar has over 19 years financial services experience. Prior to working at QSuper, Briar worked for over 4 years as a Director in the NAB Property Equity & Advisory team, responsible for origination and structuring of Australian and global property opportunities. Briar has also worked for over 5 years as a Portfolio Manager for the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC - the Australian Public Sector and Commonwealth Superannuation Schemes) responsible for strategic input, research, due diligence and implementation of investment decisions and manager oversight. Briar worked for the BT Financial Group (BT) for over 7 years before joining CSC, in a variety of roles including Vice President, Manager Global Client Service and Associate Director, Business Manager – London. Prior to BT, Briar worked at KPMG.

 

Briar’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics from The University of Sydney and Briar is a CPA and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
