Carolyn Viney was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Grocon in February, 2014, having been Deputy CEO to Daniel Grollo, Executive Chairman and sole owner of the business, for the two years prior.

 

Carolyn has held a variety of roles within Grocon since joining in 2003, including as a member of the senior executive since 2007, and has been intimately involved with Daniel and the Board in setting the strategic direction of the company.

 

Carolyn has had a strong hand in Grocon’s recent success including growing the company’s portfolio of projects and overseeing successful project delivery. She has been instrumental in growing Grocon’s property development business, which is now a significant focus for the company, as well as having had responsibility for group strategy, people and culture, project delivery, corporate communications, IT and legal functions.

 

Carolyn is Vice President of the Property Council of Australia’s Victorian Division, as well as a panel member of the Women’s Property Initiatives Advisory Panel. Until recently, Carolyn was a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Management (Victoria and Tasmania) and a council member of the Victorian Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). In 2011, Carolyn was awarded the NAWIC John Holland Award for Outstanding Achievement as a Businesswoman.
