Mr Fung, 31, is a lawyer and property developer. He was born in New York City, and spent his early childhood living in Hong Kong. The second of Tony Fung’s five children, he moved to

Los Angeles in 1994.

 

He attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and in 2006, graduated with a double-major in History, and Asian and African Languages and Literature. After graduation, he returned to Hong Kong and worked in his father’s real estate investment business.

 

He returned to the United States in 2009 to pursue a postgraduate legal degree. In May, 2012, he graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Immediately after passing the California Bar Exam, Justin joined his father’s investment ventures in Hong Kong and Australia.

 

He was appointed CEO of the Aquis Great Barrier Reef Resort in mid-2013 and divides his time between Cairns and Hong Kong.

 

Since his appointment he has been responsible for the day-to-day management of the Aquis project including development of the EIS, key engineering and design aspects and community and government relations.
