Rod joined Australand in March 2010 to re-position and re-structure its portfolio of large scale residential & mixed use projects following the GFC.  Following the acquisition of Australand by Singapore based Frasers Centrepoint Group in late 2014, Rod was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the consolidated Frasers Property Australia, which incorporates Australand, in July 2015. 

 

Prior to joining Australand he spent nearly nine years with Lend Lease Corporation as Chief Executive Officer of Lend Lease’s urban development businesses including its master planned communities, urban renewal and retirement living/aged care operations (2001 – 2009).  Prior to this appointment, Rod had held Senior Management positions with Delfin Property Group (1996 – 2001), Australian Defence Industries Ltd & Urban Land Corporation (1990 – 1996).

 

Rod has 34 years experience in the property development industry primarily involved in large scale urban development and urban renewal schemes. 

 

Throughout his career, Rod has maintained a commitment to broader social and community issues serving as Chairman of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (8 years), non-executive Director for Mission Australia Housing (4 years) as well as 2 terms as Chair of Residential Development Council of Australia (4 years) and Trustee of Melbourne Cricket Ground during its redevelopment for the 2006 Commonwealth Games (8 years).
